Transfix Rolls Out Suite of Fraud Prevention Tools for Shippers and Carriers

March 21, 2024

Digital freight brokerage Transfix has introduced new fraud prevention tools for shippers, carriers, and brokers.

The overarching suite — dubbed Transfix Shield — includes a pair of offerings: RateCon Shield and Facility Shield.

RateCon Shield automates a unique QR code to rate confirmation documents for freight brokers, allowing carriers to validate the authenticity of loads. Facility Shield protects against theft by adding a layer of security for shippers to verify carriers before they enter facilities. Both integrate through API connection, and don't require carriers or employees to download additional applications.

"Fraud is an issue that will never get solved unless we all come together as an industry,” Transfix co-founder and CEO Jonathan Salama said. “While this industry has long propagated competition amongst brokers, it’s time we show a united front against fraudulent actors to combat their increasing attacks on freight.”

RateCon Shield's pilot program launched in the summer of 2023. Facility Shield is in beta testing but will soon be available to shippers.
