The Women in Trucking Association (WIT) has revealed its three winners for the Driver of the Year award.
The three drivers named were Carmen Anderson with America's Service Line, Deb LaBree with Castle Transport LLC (leased to Landstar), and Jodi Edwards with J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.
“All of these deserving drivers are members of the WIT Image Team,” WIT president and CEO Jennifer Hedrick said. “They represent the WIT mission and participate in ride-along events for legislators, regulators, and industry leaders to provide a deeper understanding of the obstacles they face on the road."
Anderson boasts 2.5 million safe-driving miles and accolades dating back to 2015, when she won the South Dakota Truck Driving championship. She was also named Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association Driver of the year in 2019, as the first woman to be the sole recipient of the award.
LaBree has been a professional truck driver since 2006, and previously received the Bronze and Silver Star of Quality from Landstar for customer service and mentorship.
Edwards has been a truck driver with J.B. Hunt Transport Services for over 25 years, with more than two million collision-free miles. She's gotten numerous safe-driving awards over her time with J.B. Hunt along with a Driver of the Year award for her region.
